Who should Apply?

We welcome students who are interested in conducting research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction and AI/AX technologies, particularly in one or more of our core research areas listed above.

1. Graduate Admission Track

This track is intended for students who are seriously considering joining IXLAB as graduate students in Spring 2027.

  • 4th-year students: Students planning to apply to the Master’s or Integrated Master’s–Ph.D. Program for Spring 2027.
  • 3rd-year students: Students planning to apply to the Integrated B.S.–Master’s Program for Spring 2027.
  • Selected students are highly encouraged to participate in a short-term internship before submitting their graduate admission application.
  • Students who successfully proceed to graduate admission will join the Pre-Graduate Program from November 2026 to February 2027, during which stipend and academic support will be provided.

2. Exploratory Undergraduate Internship Track

This track is intended for students who are interested in HCI research but are still exploring whether graduate school is the right path for them.

  • Only 3rd- and 4th-year SEOULTECH undergraduate students are eligible.
  • Selected students will participate in the lab from late September to mid-December 2026.
  • A minimum level of participation in research and lab activities is required, including activities such as:
    • Attending HCI book/paper seminars
